ABSTRACT:

The purpose of this research is to test and analyze empirically the influence of growth, tangibility, firm size, debt to equity ratio and asset turnover toward profitability. The sample in this study is a wholesale company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2002 until 2013, using purposive sampling method. This study also compared result of the previous research with this research. Data for this study comes from secondary data. The data was then analyzed with eviews 7 Panel Data Regression Analysis. The result of this research shows that tangibility, firm size, debt to equity ratio and asset turnover has no effect to profitability, while growth has an effect on profitability. Overall, the independent variables influence profitability simultaneously.
